MIA under the aegis of its dynamic President Sh. Baljit Singh in collaboration with Department of Excise and Taxation Punjab organized an interactive session on recently launched GST Amnesty Scheme on 25th March 2025 at MIA Bhawan, Mohali.
Mr. Amanpreet Singh ETO along with his team has explained the GST Amnesty scheme to our esteemed members. Under this scheme the assesses receiving demand notices can avail this scheme to clear their outstanding arrears U/S 73 of GST Act 2017 for the assessment year 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20. Under this scheme, and there is complete waiver of interest and Penalty and assesses have to pay the tax component. The last date to apply under this scheme is 31-03-2025. The application can be filed electronically in Form GST SPL-01 on the common portal and payment can be off set against accrued GST credit in the applicant’s account.
On special request of The MIA president, Sh. Baljit Singh, the department has come forward to help and assist assesses on all working days including 31-03-2025 which otherwise falls on national holiday.
Executive members Sh. Rakesh Vig and Er. HS Dhindsa also requested to extend this date and include Bonafide assesses who have wrongly received demand notices U/S 74 of GST Act 2017 in this amnesty scheme. The meeting was attended by esteemed members of MIA including its past president Sh. K.S. Mahal and executive members Sh. A.K Gupta ji, Sh. Rakesh Vig, Er HS Dhindsa, Sh. Parmjit Singh.
