In a spirited show of patriotism, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Unit at the Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali, organised a vibrant Flag March on the eve of the upcoming 79th Independence Day, in accordance with directives from CISF Force Headquarters, New Delhi. The march commenced at 1730 hrs from the SCL campus, Sector-72, and passed through the 3B2 locality of Sector-54. The primary objective was to spread the message of national unity and pride, while encouraging citizens to actively
participate in the nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
CISF personnel, marching in disciplined formation, inspired onlookers with spirited patriotic slogans such as “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” Along the route, they interacted with residents, fostering a shared sense of responsibility towards the nation and its symbols.
Addressing the gathering, Assistant Commandant Sh. Rajender Singh praised the enthusiasm of both CISF personnel and the local community. He urged citizens to proudly hoist the national flag at their homes, noting that such initiatives not only ignite patriotic fervour but also strengthen the bond between the force and the society it serves.
The march concluded in an atmosphere brimming with national pride, leaving a lasting impression on participants and spectators alike, and setting an inspiring tone for the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations.
